As of 4 April 2021, Galital has joined the Polkadot testnet “Rococo” as a parachain.

Since our integration, many advances have been made, from the back-end of the Standalone node, to the development of the front-end of the MVP dashboard of our marketplace.
The Galital team wants to work with its community and share the progress made with the greatest possible transparency.
First of all, here are some explanations about the development of the Galital Standalone node and how it works, for those who want to know more about the technical side.
The first step is to deploy our independent chain (the galital main chain).
Then we will integrate a parachain to the main chain, which will be used as a bridge with the relay chains (DOT, KSM). Thanks to this, we will be connected to the whole Polkadot ecosystem.
We have chosen this design to ensure that our applications work together.
Polkadot and Kusama parachains work with slots that are limited and obtained by auction.
If the slot dedicated to Galital were lost, we would not validate new blocks, governance would break down, and this would penalize the whole ecosystem. No action would be possible on Galital (transfer, creation / exchange of NFTs, …).
To overcome this potential problem, the main chain will run the whole infrastructure. We can see it as the body of Galital. It will validate all transactions in the blockchain.
It will validate all NFT minting, NFT transfers, transactions made on the marketplace, it will host the governance of Galital and many other applications.
On the other hand, we will have the Galital parachain which will provide interoperability and will allow us to exchange tokens, NFTs and all the necessary information with the Polkadot and Kusama network which can be seen as the spirit of Galital.
We will also be able to make bridges on Polkadot EVM to make it redundant.
The main chain will not share the security of the relay chain of Polkadot or Kusama. At least for the first year.
The security will be done only through validators.
The goal is to bring enough revenue to the chain and thus to the validators, so that they are interesting to run.
With this design, we can launch our chain this year.
Regarding Galital’s NFTs marketplace, we can already say that the dashboard MVP is nearing completion and will be unveiled shortly.
Many features, such as the NFTs palette, have been successfully coded.
We have developed our own offchain indexer with an API to be able to retrieve your NFT history in the chain.
The implementation in the node, governance and treasury is in progress.
An article dedicated to governance will soon be online, it will explain how governance works, and the importance of the community in a decentralized project. We will explain what part you can take in this project thanks to the tools made available to the community.
